Almost every college football fan will be watching the conference championships this weekend, but what about the games that don’t decide a conference championship? Sure, Oregon has already won the PAC 10 with their win/loss record, but all hopes of making it to the national championship could be lost if the Oregon State Beavers knocks them off. That is a pretty big game, especially a non-championship game on conference championship weekend.

The game I plan on watching on my HD DVR Deals this weekend is the ACC championship and SEC Championship. I’m pretty sure that Oregon will beat Oregon State, so my focus will mostly be on the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Florida State Seminoles. I live in South Carolina, so it’s only right that I pull for my instate team. I lived in Florida when I was young, so I’m pulling for the Seminoles over the Hokies. Even though the Florida State/Virginia Tech game has no national championship implications, it should still be a fun game to watch.

However, the SEC Championship has huge national championship implications. The Tigers are ranked number one in the nation, so the Gamecocks have a chance of ruining their chances to play for a title game. It’s the Gamecocks first SEC Championship visit, so I expect they will be a little nervous but ultimately pull out the victory.
